Charts can not only be viewed on screen or printed directly, they also can be saved as PDF or EPS files for placement in everything from newsletters to glossy publications. In addition, a file containing the hourly tide heights, or the times of high and low tides can be created. Tidal curves are calculated from data supplied by the National Ocean Service.

A calendar is a convenient way of presenting the tide information on a day-to-day basis. It is easy to quickly see the general magnitude and times of the tide extremes. Click Tide Hawai´i will calculate ocean tide heights for existing Hawaiian coastal stations and interpolations from these stations. The tide curve is calculated hourly for a complete month and displayed on a calendar grid. The calendar also shows the exact times of sunrise and sunset, the specific timing of quarterly phases of the moon, and the times of the solstice or equinox for specific lat/longs.

The user may create a new station to reflect local conditions via dialog box. Latitude and longitude coordinates are entered for the desired location and tidal constituents are determined from a linear interpolation between existing stations.

Optionally, a window can also be displayed for latitude/longitude mapping relative to mouse pointer position over a map of the area, which includes all current tide station indicators. You can click on this map to create a new tide station at the location you wish to chart.

Freely name your new reference station and print a chart for it! The program allows adjusting the vertical scale for the tide curves and the dimensions and appearance of the calendar.
